Matthew Kennedy, Petrochemical Campaign Coordinator, is an organizer and political educator with years of experience in the global climate justice movement. Most recently he has facilitated political education with a worker-owned cooperative in Cleveland, OH, helped organize a successful union campaign in New Haven, CT, and supported southern movement-building with the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy, including the launch of the Gulf South for a Green New Deal network. Matthew studied human ecology and global climate politics at College of the Atlantic, where he also engaged in international negotiating spaces like the UNFCCC and the IPCC. He is also passionate about land justice, agroecology, and food sovereignty.
