GULF COAST GUARD

The massive scale of the ongoing offensive by the fossil fuel industry all across the Gulf South often makes it difficult for any single facility fight to earn public or media attention.

To help amplify the voices of coastal communities pushing back on polluting projects from New Orleans to Brownsville, TCE manages the Gulf Coast Guard media campaign.

Gulf Coast Guard represents a coalition of local leaders and grassroots organizations using social media and creative paid advertising to share stories of how corporate polluters, and their allies on Wall Street and in Washington, put coastal Texas and Louisiana communities at risk while pushing the world closer to climate catastrophe. Gulf Coast Guard has a focus on exposing financiers and insurers who enable polluting projects, and works to bring special attention to the “Terrible 12” fossil fuel exporters.
