James T. Perry is the Administrative Director of the Texas Campaign for the Environment.

His prior positions were Executive Vice-President/CEO of the Texas Society of Architects in Austin, and as the President/Executive Director of the Center for Fine Arts Education in Tallahassee, FL where he served as the Executive Director for four associations: Florida Music Educators Association, Florida School Music Association, Florida Art Education Association, and the Florida Network of Arts Administrators. 

Perry is a native of Austin, Texas and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. His formal studies were in music and his graduate study was at the College-Conservatory of Cincinnati and he has performed with the Austin Symphony, the American Wind Symphony Orchestra, and other musical ensembles. Music education was his first career and that led to him becoming the first executive director for the Florida School Music Association and his work in association management.
