TCE Hails Decision of Austin City Council to Continue Opposition to Problem Landfill

The Austin City Council voted unanimously today to continue the fight against expanding the problem landfill owned by Waste Management in Northeast Travis County. This proposed expansion is heading to the Courts. Both Travis County and the City of Austin are now poised to join others in the legal fight. TCE and landfill neighbors met with the Mayor and City Councilmembers last week who immediately took up the issue and put it on the agenda.

Austinites can email the City Council and pat them on the back for defending residents and businesses who continue to suffer from this problem landfill that does not deserve permission to get any bigger.
